Memory games help treat multiple sclerosis

A survey conducted by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society NMSS states that approximately 50 percent of patients with Multiple Sclerosis develop problems with cognition. And, there are evidences that prove that playing memory games help in keeping the brain healthy and alert. In fact, recent publications indicate that people who play memory games possess better perceptual and cognitive skills as compared to non-gamers. Thus, it can be said that memory games help treat multiple sclerosis.

  1. The mind games used are indeed great for MS patients. However, we should note that memory games can only work as long as their CNS is still in relatively good shape. In severe cases of MS, memory games won’t help a patient very much.
